Who is responsible
Meicnic Ltd, operating the SnapLoq brand, is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Contact john@snaploq.com with privacy questions or requests.
Information we collect
- Email signup: your email address, the time of your signup, the consent wording version and whether you have unsubscribed.
- Messages: your email address and any information you choose to send when contacting us.
- Website delivery and security: our hosting provider processes connection information such as your IP address and request details. Our signup service uses a short-lived hash of your IP address and the date to limit repeated submissions; it does not store your raw IP address in the signup database.
This pre-launch website does not take payments or collect billing or delivery details.
Why we use your information
We use signup information to keep a list for SnapLoq launch news, product updates and offers, based on your consent. The checkbox is optional in the sense that you can browse the website without subscribing; it must be selected if you choose to sign up.
We use enquiries to respond to you, take steps you request before a contract, or provide relevant support. Our legal basis depends on the enquiry: taking steps toward or performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in answering requests and running the business. Security processing is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and keeping the service reliable.
We do not sell your personal information or use the signup list for unrelated third-party advertising.
How long we keep information
Signup records are kept for up to 18 months from signup unless renewed with fresh consent. If you unsubscribe, your address is suppressed from marketing immediately. A minimal record may remain within that period so we can honour the opt-out and record your preference. You may request deletion by email.
Signup abuse-control records are used for no more than two days. Expired signup and abuse-control records are excluded from use and removed during routine list activity or maintenance. Cloudflare may retain recovery backups for a limited additional period.
Enquiries are retained only as long as needed to resolve the matter and meet any applicable record-keeping or legal requirements. This may be longer for a contractual dispute than for a general product question.
Your choices & rights
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe page or by emailing john@snaploq.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out lawfully before it.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to certain processing. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal data. We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country. If EU data-protection law applies, this may include the authority where you live or work. Details of EU supervisory authorities are available through the European Data Protection Board.
